Admission essay excerpt:

“Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of which they grow.”  – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Language and education have such an intrinsic connection.  In fact, you could almost go as far as to say that neither one would exist or thrive without the other.  It is language that allows us to communicate thoughts, ideas, experiences, and knowledge, and it is education that helps to improve understanding and use of language.  This is one of the main reasons I decided to pursue a degree in both language and education.  Now, I face a new challenge in life as I seek a graduate degree in education.
