Excerpt:
My fascination for all things medical stems primarily from the fact that I have always been interested in medicine since the days of my childhood. Beyond this, however, my fascination developed into a passion when I learned that I had a heart condition. Not only was I driven to learn about my own condition, but I was also awakened to the need for compassion and caring that patients, like myself and other people in the world, require from medical personnel. Since the time of this epiphany, I dedicated my energy and efforts toward doing everything I could to become a successful nurse.
