One of the difficulties in entering college is finding the means to pay your tuition. However, there are many organizations and foundations that can provide you with financial assistance. For women, there are scholarships and fellowship grants that could help you pursue a college or graduate school program that you want. The following are some of the organizations that provide financial assistance for women:

* Nationwide financial aid for women

One of these nationwide financial assistance programs is offered by the American Association of University Women (AAUW). This organization supports women by promoting the education of female students. The AAUW Educational Foundation offers financial assistance in the form of awards, fellowships, community project awards, and grants. This organization has been spending $3.5 to $4 million as financial aid to women.

* Financial assistance for female students with specialization

The HORIZONS Scholarship Foundation belongs to this type of financial aid. This was established by Women in Defense. This foundation aims to help women who want to be part of national security. Women who wish to apply for this financial aid program must be an American citizen and must have a GPA of 3.25. If you want to pursue courses in Mathematics, International Relations, and Law, you can also apply for this scholarship.

* Other financial assistance for women

Aside from the two scholarships mentioned, there are still many scholarship organizations out there. The following are just some of these:
-AEI scholarship Fund
-Talbot Women’s Scholarship Fund
-Business and Professional Women’s Foundation
-P.E.O International Scholarship Fund

If you are going to enter college, take a specialized program, or get into a graduate school, you will find many scholarship organizations and foundations that can sponsor your study. But before making any decision, you have to check the background of the scholarship organization you wish to get assistance from. You have to know the requirements for such financial programs and how these scholarship programs work.
